INFECTIOUS DISEASES Diarrheal Disease

Diarrheal diseases pose a significant public health threat in many parts of the world, accounting for hundreds of thousands of deaths each year. Caused by a broad range of infectious pathogens, these diseases can be difficult to rapidly diagnose and treatment approaches can be complicated. Our faculty researchers investigate the viruses, parasites, and bacteria that lead to diarrheal disease to improve treatment and prevention.
