Fetoscopic Treatment for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) | Natika's Story
When Natika found out her unborn baby had congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) as did her older child, she wanted baby William to have an easier start in life than his brother's. Her doctor referred her to Johns Hopkins, where experts at the Johns Hopkins Center for Fetal Therapy were conducting a trial for a fetoscopic procedure called FETO.
Together with a multidisciplinary team, Drs. Ahmet Baschat and Jena Miller treated William in utero and provided superb care for the baby before birth and after.
