Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia: Julian's Story
Julian Thrives After Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia
One-year-old Julian was born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, a life-threatening abnormality which occurs when the muscle between the chest and the abdomen don’t form properly. The stomach, intestines and liver move up into the chest, inhibiting the growth of the lungs.
Baby Julian and family traveled across the country to be under the care of David Kays, M.D., a Johns Hopkins All Children’s physician renowned for his positive outcomes with CDH.
