High Blood Pressure
Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a health condition where your blood pressure, the force of blood flowing through your blood vessels, is consistently too high. Nearly 1 in 3 adults are estimated to have hypertension, which places them at higher risk of developing heart disease, stroke, and other serious health problems. The American Heart Association has called hypertension as the “silent killer,” because it increases your health risk while not causing any symptoms. We may be able to help you manage your blood pressure by making important lifestyle changes.
Patients with hypertension have an evaluation with one of our specialty physicians to create a lifestyle change plan tailored to their needs. Our program offers a variety of services for patients with high blood pressure.
Visits with Physician Experts
All patients with hypertension will have regular visits with physician experts on lifestyle management for this condition. These visits will focus on one-on-one counseling to support your lifestyle changes and may include medication management. These visits will last 30 minutes and occur every 3 to 6 months. These visits are usually covered by insurance.
