The medical biochemical genetics fellowship is a one year ABMGG-accredited fellowship open to those who have completed a residency in medical genetics. This fellowship offers specialized training in inpatient and outpatient biochemical genetics with the renowned clinical faculty of the McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine, clinical laboratory experiences in the Maryland State Newborn Screening Laboratory and at the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Biochemical Genetics Laboratory, and dedicated time for independent research.Program Director(s)

The molecular genetic pathology fellowship trains individuals for academic careers including molecularly oriented clinical research, development of molecularly based diagnostic technologies and disease-oriented basic research. Training consists of a didactic course in molecular biology, introductory rotations through selected basic and applied laboratories and an in-depth clinically oriented experience under the direction of a faculty mentor, all aimed at developing clinical competency. Johns Hopkins’ movement disorder fellowship trains exceptionally qualified individuals in the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of movement disorders. The fellowship focuses on rotations through subspecialty clinics, managing patients with Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, Tourette syndrome, frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and ataxia. The program ensures exposure to specialty clinics in otolaryngology, neuro-ophthalmology, neurosurgery, neuropsychiatry, cognitive neurology, normal pressure hydrocephalus and telemedicine.Program Director(s)
