    The Johns Hopkins Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) Fellowship Training Program received initial accreditation from the ACGME in 2012 and continued accreditation in 2015. The goal of our fellowship is to train specialist palliative medicine physicians who excel as clinicians, teachers, team members, leaders, lifelong learners and catalysts for improving the quality of hospice and palliative medicine across the lifespan and within health systems.

    The Johns Hopkins Interventional Cardiology Training Program represents the highest quality training in the field of interventional cardiology. Trainees develop and demonstrate competence in the clinical knowledge, procedural skills, clinical judgment, professionalism and interpersonal skills required as a specialist in interventional cardiology. At the completion of the training program, the trainee will have acquired the competency to pass the appropriate specialty boards required to practice independently as a specialist in the field.

Our proven limb preservation pathways incorporate a variety of wound modalities coupled with our technological savvy Noraxon Computer-Assisted Gait Analysis (CAGA) providing patients with the greatest opportunity for continued limb preservation and remaining in remission and ulcer-free. This service is second to none nationwide.

    The Johns Hopkins nephrology fellowship is one of the nation’s premier training programs in academic and clinical nephrology. The program produces clinically outstanding nephrologists, internationally recognized clinical and basic scientists and innovative medical educators. The program is overseen by the office of graduate medical education, with rotations predominantly at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

    Johns Hopkins is home to one of the nation's fellowship training programs in obesity medicine, and is a member of the Obesity Medicine Fellowship Council. The Johns Hopkins Obesity Medicine Fellowship will welcome its first fellow in July 2021, and is supported by an Obesity Medicine Fellowship Program Development Grant. Only citizens and permanent residents of the U.S. are eligible to apply to this track.

    Founded in 1931, the Children’s Cardiac Clinic and the Division of Pediatric Cardiology was directed by Dr. Helen Brooke Taussig and was the first of its kind. Johns Hopkins remains in the forefront of pediatric cardiology in clinical care, new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, and research. The program trains candidates for careers in academic pediatric cardiology, with a minimum of three years required for the subboard of pediatric cardiology. Additional training is available for those undertaking a supported research program.

    The fellowship in pulmonary and critical medicine at Johns Hopkins trains the next generation of leaders in biomedical science and clinical care, with extensive facilities and a diverse faculty committed to clinical care, teaching and research. About 95 percent of our graduates since 2005 have accepted full-time academic positions.

    Founded in 2008, the TOID Fellowship seeks to expand institutional expertise and train the next generation of providers in clinical and academic activities focused on infectious complications in transplant (solid organ and stem cell) and oncology patients. Since its development, Johns Hopkins has been recognized as a primary training site for TOID, and has hosted numerous visiting clinicians, clinical fellows, medical students, and undergraduates for electives in the subspecialty, from both US and international hospitals.
