Jonathan Rojas, Occupational Health Clinic Manager
Jonathan Rojas is a nurse practitioner and manager of occupational health at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. Colleagues say they experience firsthand his professionalism and knowledge about procedures and tests. Described as genuine and compassionate, he cares for his patients and takes true interest in their health and well-being. He is a true reflection of Johns Hopkins excellence.
Scott McKinley, DO
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital
Pediatric Pulmonologist, Department of Medicine
Scott McKinley is an advocate for a multidisciplinary approach to caring for children with complex disorders. He has improved pediatric pulmonary hypertension care by including these patients in a multidisciplinary infant pulmonary clinic in conjunction with cardiology. He also collaborates with pediatric surgery and gastroenterology to provide team-based care for children with complex airway issues. Dr. McKinley is an outstanding teacher and mentor for pediatric residents and promotes resident scholarship through joint publication. With the hospital’s 2020 Epic implementation, Dr. McKinley developed and shared his expertise in medical informatics by leading Epic champions across many service lines. Throughout this process, his efforts to help develop workable solutions to complex issues highlighted his professionalism and his service to physicians and teams.
Venkat Gundareddy, M.B.B.S., M.P.H.

Venkat Gundareddy spends hours of his day on quality improvement, patient safety and hospital operations. He has developed workflows during the COVID-19 pandemic to help ensure that patients are managed optimally from the moment they arrive in the emergency department until they are admitted to a biomode unit. Dr. Gundareddy also has improved hospital throughput by developing innovative programs to facilitate quick movement of patients from an outpatient setting to an inpatient bed, and he has created processes to advance care for patients boarding in the emergency department through “selective release of orders.”
Dr. Gundareddy is a humanitarian who returns to his roots at least once each year to provide care to the underserved in rural India. He is widely respected by members of the hospitalist group, who often seek his counsel to solve problems or to get initiatives off the ground.
Robert Davidson, M.D.

Robert Davidson places patient-centered care at the top of his priority list. Located in Johns Hopkins Community Physicians in White Marsh, Maryland, he is well known for the excellent service he provides to patients, evidenced by his consistently high Clinician and Group Survey-Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CG-CAHPS) patient experience scores. His scores in both overall provider rating and provider communication are above the 90th percentile. Dr. Davidson adapts well to changing situations and is always ready to do what is necessary to best care for his patients. He balances his precise, methodical style of managing clinic days with a caring, personable and respectful communication style. Patients appreciate his respect for their time, his direct and thoughtful manner of discussing their health care, and his professionalism. To quote one patient, “I absolutely adore Dr. Davidson and can always count on him.”

Each year, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery surveys faculty to identify standout individuals regarding clinical excellence and innovation. Babar Shafiq, and his consistent dedication to the department, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the residency program, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Shafiq dedicates his time, energy and clinical skill on a round-the-clock basis to ensure that patients are appropriately cared for. As an orthopaedic trauma surgeon, he diligently attends to the constant (and increasing) flow of patients who present to the trauma center with complex injuries and challenging musculoskeletal infections. This results in incredibly long hours in service and care for Baltimore’s often overlooked patients.
In that role, he helps direct the orthopaedic trauma education for students and residents. He served for years as the departmental physician advisor, attesting to his dedication to quality and safety. More recently, he has assumed the role of associate residency director, where he donates his time and energy to oversee the didactic educational program to improve orthopaedic education for students and residents.
Despite the challenges associated with a busy trauma practice at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Shafiq maintains a constant smile and even demeanor, reflecting his professionalism and dedication to service at all times.
Victoria Croog, M.D.

Victoria Croog is a consummate professional who provides excellent coordinated care to the most complex patients we see in the Johns Hopkins Health System. She was instrumental in forming Sibley Memorial Hospital’s neuro-oncology and gastrointestinal oncology multidisciplinary groups and tumor boards. A fantastic leader and a clinical documentation role model, Dr. Croog goes above and beyond in supporting all the needs of the patients she sees at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial and throughout the health system. Dr. Croog always places the patient and clinical team first with the singular goal of providing the best possible care. In addition, she brings kindness, compassion and brilliance with her communication skills, coupled with a great sense of humor. Dr. Croog is incredibly dedicated to her patients and even helps them with services such as physical and occupational therapy. She has all the characteristics one would want in a health care professional.
Brandi Page, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Sciences
Within the Johns Hopkins Head and Neck Radiotherapy Service at Suburban Hospital, Brandi Page has brought complex radiotherapy services to the facility as well as improvements in patient- and family-centered care, including pain medication management, nasopharyngolaryngoscopy (NPL) procedures and in-clinic NPL-guided Dobhoff tube placement for head and neck patients.
At the Johns Hopkins Proton Therapy Center in Washington, D.C., Dr. Page helps organize and coordinate care for all patients within the Johns Hopkins system receiving proton therapy for head and neck cancers. She is the director of the proton fellowship, runs the educational partnership with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and serves as the quality improvement coordinator and cancer liaison physician at Suburban Hospital for the American Cancer Society.
