Internship and Volunteer Information
-
Music Therapy Clinical Internship Program
The Music Therapy Department serves as an American Music Therapy Association national roster clinical internship training site. Music therapy interns complete a 1,200 clinical hour internship and are selected through an application and interview process after completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an approved program.
For more information on how to apply to our internship program, please visit our internship program page. -
Music Volunteers
The Music Therapy Department offers a music volunteer program through our Volunteer Resources. Music volunteers serve as lobby musicians, providing live, uplifting music that helps to normalize the environment and create a sense of peace and comfort in the hospital setting. Our music volunteers have the opportunity to perform in the main hospital lobby and the outpatient lobby where many patients, family members, and staff frequently travel through. Music volunteers serve the hospital setting under the direction of the Music Therapy Supervisor and complete an application, audition, and interview process.
