We provide diabetes education and counseling, nutrition counseling and insulin pump training at our Tampa and Brandon locations. We also have X-ray and laboratory services in both locations.
In Tampa we provide infusion services, endocrine stimulation testing, as well as MRI services.

Providers in a number of other specialties also see patients at the Tampa and Brandon locations. Our endocrinology patients who have complex conditions requiring care from multiple specialists often don’t have to travel for additional care, and our physicians are able to work closely together from the same facility.

Kara Beliard, M.D.
Dr. Beliard is a pediatric endocrinologist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She sees patients at the main hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, and at the hospital’s Outpatient Care Centers in Tampa, Brandon and Lakeland. She joined the hospital staff in 2023.
Esther Bell-Sambataro, M.D.
Dr. Bell-Sambataro is a pediatric endocrinologist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She sees patients on the hospital’s main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, and at Outpatient Care, Tampa. She joined the hospital staff in 2024.
Shuchi Shah, M.D.
Dr. Shah specializes in pediatric endocrinology for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She sees patients at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Outpatient Care, Tampa, and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Outpatient Care, East Lake. She joined the hospital staff in 2018. Dr. Shah earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She completed a pediatric residency and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Children’s Medical Center/University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Walter Zegarra, M.D.
Dr. Zegarra specializes in pediatric endocrinology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the hospital staff in 2021. He sees patients on our main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, and at our Outpatient Care location in Tampa. Dr. Zegarra earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami. He completed a pediatric residency from Jackson Memorial Hospital-University of Miami, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology from Stanford Health Care-Stanford University in Stanford, California.
Colleen Chambers, D.N.P., A.P.R.N., CPNP-PC
Colleen Chambers, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC, is a nurse practitioner in the endocrinology and diabetes program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She began her career as a camp counselor and nurse at Camp Ho Mita Koda, the oldest camp serving children with diabetes. Colleen has volunteered and collaborated with several diabetes organizations including JDRF, Beyond Type 1, and the Diabetes Link. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Xavier University, Master of Science in Nursing from Kent State University, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Pittsburgh. She joined the hospital staff in 2022.
