Pam Harrison

Interim Vice President of Managed Care for JHM
Pam Harrison was named interim vice president of managed care for Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) in July 2022. She oversees all strategic, operational and contracting aspects of managed care for JHM, including hospitals, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and ancillary programs and practices.
Since 2016, Harrison has served as the senior director of payor relations for JHM. In this role, her responsibilities include ensuring that managed care payor contracts, policies and procedures are implemented within the JHM provider organization to optimize revenue and reduce administrative burden on the system. She also assists clinical departments with practice acquisitions and in developing new programs to ensure business practices comply with payor policies, contracts and operational rules.
Before joining Johns Hopkins, Harrison held leadership roles at major regional organizations, including Evergreen Health Cooperative, MedStar Family Choice and the University of Maryland Medical System. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in health finance and management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
