Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Johns Hopkins Health System
Cheryl A. Sadro is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Johns Hopkins Medicine and the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Johns Hopkins Health System. She joined Johns Hopkins in January 2024.
In these roles, Sadro has financial accountability for Johns Hopkins’ six hospitals and Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, as well as joint ventures and member organizations of Johns Hopkins Medicine, including Johns Hopkins Care at Home, Johns Hopkins Health Plans, Johns Hopkins Medicine International, Johns Hopkins Surgery Centers Series and Johns Hopkins Medicine Alliance for Patients.
Previously, Sadro served as chief financial officer for UC Davis Health, including UC Davis Medical Center, ambulatory clinics, UC Davis School of Medicine, UC Davis Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, the UC Davis Medical Group and various partnerships and affiliations.
Prior to UC Davis, Sadro served as executive vice president and chief business and financial officer for the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Her career spans more than 35 years in public accountancy and financial leadership roles in major, mission-based health systems, including Ascension Health and Catholic Health Initiatives.
Sadro has been recognized on multiple occasions as one of the Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She is also a contributor to many health care CFO groups, and regularly participates in national health care discussions.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University and a master’s degree in health care management from Troy State University.
