Caroline Shafa, M.H.A.
Vice President of Operations, Sibley Memorial Hospital
Caroline Shafa joined Sibley on May 1, 2013. She oversees the hospital’s major service line initiatives and leads operating activities, expansion and growth of services. Mrs. Shafa joined Sibley after eight years at the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore campus, where she most recently served as the administrator in the school of medicine’s Department of Dermatology. Prior to her time in the Department of Dermatology, she was a project administrator for The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s chief operating officer. She has been involved with the United Way of Central Maryland for several years and organized community skin cancer screenings in Baltimore through the American Academy of Dermatology.
Mrs. Shafa graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of science in business administration and a master’s in health care administration. She completed her two-year administrative fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Health System.
