Lindsay Roylance Rothstein, M.A.
Senior Director, Marketing & Communications
Lindsay Rothstein leads all integrated marketing, branding and strategic communications programs for Johns Hopkins Medicine International, the global ambassador of the Johns Hopkins Medicine mission. She has more than 20 years of experience in health care and in international marketing and communications.
She joined Johns Hopkins Medicine in 2000 as a writer, serving in roles of increasing responsibility in the marketing and communications department. As senior director for international marketing and communications, Ms. Rothstein leads Johns Hopkins Medicine International’s marketing and communications team in the creation and execution of global marketing and external and internal communications strategies, including international patient acquisition across Johns Hopkins Medicine, market research, brand journalism, brand management, thought leadership, media relations and crisis communications, digital marketing and social engagement, event management and employee engagement.
Ms. Rothstein has won several awards, including the American Marketing Association’s Overall Marketing Excellence Award (Baltimore chapter, 2018), the International Association of Business Communicators Silver Quill Award (2014, 2019) and an award of distinction from the Association of American Medical Colleges (2004).
Before joining Johns Hopkins, she was a founding editorial director in the Waterford, Ireland, office of The Agora, a Baltimore-based publishing company. She has lived, studied and worked in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, and has traveled to more than 35 countries.
Ms. Rothstein holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish literature from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in international journalism (highest honors) from the University of Westminster in London, where she interned at The Daily Telegraph. She is a member of the U.S. Cooperative for International Patient Programs’ Choose U.S. Health Steering Committee and the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development.
