Annemarie Martin-Boyan, Esq.
Annemarie Martin-Boyan was appointed senior vice president and general counsel for The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and The Johns Hopkins Hospital in February 2022. She oversees all internal and external legal matters for the hospital, the health system and its affiliates, and serves as the primary legal adviser to the senior management team and the board of trustees, as well as the Johns Hopkins member hospitals and their boards.
An attorney with 30 years of legal experience in both academic medicine and private practice, Boyan served as the senior vice president, corporate secretary and general counsel for Penn State Health, where she led its legal department. She has worked in legal positions in the offices of general counsel for Rutgers University–New Brunswick in New Jersey, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Temple University Health System.
In addition to these roles, Boyan has taught at several universities, including Seton Hall Law School and Drexel University College of Medicine, where she developed and taught "Pharmaceutical Law Governing Clinical Research and Development."
Boyan graduated magna cum laude from Temple University with a bachelor's degree in political science. She earned her law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
