Background
Jon R. Resar received his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1985. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins in 1992 is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine/Cardiology and the Director of the Adult Catheterization Laboratory and Interventional Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. His field of specialization is percutaneous management of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and adult congenital heart disease.
Dr. Resar holds memberships in the American Heart Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

- Our group is interested in the evaluation of basic pathophysiology in patients undergoing cardiac procedures, development and evaluation of new therapeutic strategies, and improving patient selection and outcomes following interventional procedures.
